一足先に伝えた中国国内のbilibili.comでの動画投稿によりGPD Win2 Maxのベータテスターを募るイベントが、４月３日の午後にはDiscord内のスレッドにて全世界に向けての募集も行われています。

For a chance to get into the limited WIN2 Max beta test program, simply make a Win 2 gaming video. Any game type is ok and you can make any number of videos you like. Simply upload them to Youtube
The final evaluation criteria will be based on views. For example, if we have 10 WIN2 Max beta test units(final amount unknown at this time), then we will provide them at a discounted price to people who had the top 10 videos based on view count.
Event will start BEIJING time 18:00PM, 3rd April 2019. Videos published before this time will not count.
We may also post submitted videos to our official GPD Facebook, Twitter and Youtube pages.

となっています。中国語アナウンスではテスターの資格を与えるといったもので、ディスカウント価格の買い取りは言及していなかったほか、再生数に応じて資格を与えることになっており、抽選方法の内容がより具体的になっているのが英語版の特徴です。
また今朝まではなかったDiscrodのスレ別一覧の中にGPD Win 2Maxの名前が増えたことから前記事で気にしていたGPD Win 3とGPD Win 2 Maxは別物である可能性が高いです。GPD Win 3とは別機種として商品化されるかはわかりませんが、Win 2 Maxのテスト機が先に姿を表わすことになりそうです。
